Carol Castro

Carol resides in Marlboro, New Jersey with her husband, Jim of 30 years of marriage, and their two daughters, Julie and Melissa. Carol is a college graduate with a B.S. degree in English and Secondary Education. Prior to having children, Carol was a tenured teacher before becoming Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the President of Major League Baseball for eight years.

Five years ago, Carol went to work for Dr. Raghu, as an Optometric Assistant, at The Eye Center at Jackson. She is a Certified Para Optometric since 2007. Carol is a very friendly, warm and caring professional committed to outstanding patient care. Included in her varying responsibilities, Carol is in charge of the Contact Lens Department. Carol brings her welcoming smile and ever evolving knowledge to the optical showroom where she lends her sense of style and fashion as she assists patients in the selection process of their eye glass frames. Carol advises patients on the most beneficial lenses that will promote optimal vision.

Carol and Jim enjoy an active social life. They love to entertain family and friends in their home where Carol indulges her passion for gourmet cooking and baking. Carol and Jim’s greatest joy is when their girls are home from college and the family spends quality time together.

Kathleen A Nolan

Kathy, a lifelong resident of New Jersey, has lived in Jackson for 22 years. She and husband Jeff of 33 years have been blessed with two sons, Sean and Ryan. Sean joined Kathy 3 years ago to help her build and maintain their insurance and financial services practice. Ryan, a Harvard graduate, is a first year medical student at USC.

Kathy has an extensive financial background as an institutional trader, Vice President and Registered Options Principal. After Sean was born, she chose family over career, and left the rigorous demands of Wall Street, and began a related career at MET Life. While there, she graduated their first Small Business School, and became very interested in specializing in Estate and Retirement Planning.

Kathy became an independent advisor in 1997, and is now the President/Owner of Family Focus Retirement Group, LLC, where the focus is on clients, not products, and on providing exceptional personal service. Member of National Ethics Bureau, BBB, Jackson Chamber of Commerce and Advisory Board of Women’s Mentoring Agent Network. She is especially passionate about educating and empowering women through her workshops.

Karen Sembello

Raised in West Chester, Pa., Karen graduated from Shippensburg University and began her career as an account executive in the telemarketing industry. After finding a marketing position at a senior living community, she realized it was her calling. She came to The Pines at Whiting in 2004, inspired by the community’s neighborhood feel.

Karen currently resides in Manahawkin with her husband Dominic, daughters Katarina and Madeline, and cats Shadow and Baxter. She enjoys spending time together at the beach and riding bikes along the boardwalk.

Supporting families who are facing cancer is a cause close to Karen’s heart as they both have family members who have and are battling the disease. She and Dominic are working to start a foundation in memory of his mother.

Karen loves her job as Retirement Counselor at The Pines at Whiting, a continuing care retirement community. In her position, she gives tours to prospective residents and meets with families to answer questions. In her five years working there, she has come to think of the residents as family. Visitors often remark that not a person walks by without stopping to say hello. Karen’s favorite part of her job is helping people find solutions to their current living situations and help them find a home where they can live life to the fullest. She loves when people ask her why they waited so long to make a move because they love where they live now.

Sunita Mann, M.D., DABR

Sunita is the in-house Radiologist at Garden State Pain & Radiology Center. Sunita is pleased to announce the addition of diagnostic imaging, including MRI, CT, X-Ray and DEXA, to the preexisting pain management practice founded by her husband, Dharam P. Mann, MD. Together, they are setting a new standard in diagnostic expertise, advanced imaging technology, patient care and referring physician relations.

Dr. Sunita Mann is board certified in Radiology and holds sub-specialty board certification in Neuroradiology. She received her doctorate from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She performed her medical internship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and her Radiology Residency at UMDNJ - University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey.

Sunita completed a two year fellowship in Neuroradiology at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Sunita Mann is experienced in image-guided diagnostic procedures performed under MRI, CT, Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy guidance. She has also received advanced training in image guided treatment, including Vertebroplasty, for treatment of pain associated with spinal compression fractures. Michelle Skolnik-Saner

Michelle is a true native of Toms River, born at Community Medical Center on July 1st. She graduated from Lakewood Prep but not before becoming varsity captain in Basketball, Tennis and Swimming. She is even a published poet. After high school Michelle went to in college, but it was after 9-11 she found her calling, where she became a Naval Police Officer or MAA four years. She excelled in all gun qualifications as an expert shooter. She returned home to attend Richard Stockton College of New Jersey again and after three years she graduated with a BS in Criminal Justice with a focus in Forensic Science.

Today you’ll find her at Skip’s Florist taking the business over, which is her life and passion. Michelle also volunteers for a great many organizations helping with fundraisers etc.

When she’s not at the store she is in NYC for Broadway Shows, dinners and at the Gift Shows and Fancy Food show getting new ideas in marketing, advertising, and to see what is hot, new and fresh. Michelle also enjoys sharing in the fun with her husband Christopher Saner. They were married on October 24th of this past year at the Trump Plaza.

Darelle Ann Pfeiffer, D.P.M.

Darelle Ann Pfeiffer was born and raised in Howell, and currently resides in Point Pleasant with her husband and daughter.

With a vision to help people heal from a very early age, Darelle volunteered in several areas. She chose podiatry as her specialty, as it allowed her to be a hands-on healer with surgery, wound care and biomechanics.

Since completing her surgical residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in 2005, Darelle has been a proud member of the Ocean County Foot & Ankle Surgical Associates team; among her other affiliations are the Wound Care Center of Ocean County, and Kimball Medical Center and Community Medical Center.

Always with a goal to improve her skills — and her community — Darelle is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine, and a founding member of the National Women’s History Museum.

In her off time, Darelle loves to read and travel, and enjoys camping and going to the beach with her family.

Coletta “Mickey” Coles, MSN, RN, CPAN, CAPA, BC

Mickey is a highly regarded Nurse Manager at Ocean Medical Center, responsible for Same Day Surgery, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (Recovery) and Endoscopy. As a Point Pleasant resident, working with patients who are also fellow community members makes her job especially rewarding.

“When the patients walk through our doors, they feel at home,” says Mickey. “Making that difference feels wonderful.”

Mickey decided to become a nurse after working in physician offices as a receptionist. It became clear that nursing was her calling. She became a L.P.N., and then received her R.N. while working in a maternity unit in New Mexico. Mickey moved to New Jersey in 1982 and started working in the Critical Care Unit at Point Pleasant Hospital, transitioning over to the Recovery Unit at Ocean Medical Center in Brick in 1996.

Mickey is a firm believer in higher education, and went on to receive her B.S.N. and a graduate degree in Nursing Administration.

She is actively involved with the Guild of Ocean Medical Center. She supports the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Association and the American Heart Association with annual participation in fund raisers.

Mickey enjoys staying physically fit, exercising up to six times a week with her husband Allan. She has one son, Eric, and two beloved cats. In her spare time, she loves to travel, read, and watch movies.

Jennifer L. Sibiga, RN, MS, FNP-BC, APN-C

Jennifer is a board certified Nurse Practitioner born and raised in New Jersey. Her post-nominal credentials are defined as “Registered Nurse,” “Master Degree in Science,” “Family Nurse Practitioner,” and “Advanced Practice Nurse.” She is a seasoned Nurse Practitioner with 12 years experience.

Nurse Practitioners are licensed independent practitioners who practice medicine in a variety of specialties and emphasize health promotion and disease prevention. The profession began over 40 years ago as a result of a physician shortage and in response to the need for cost effective, accessible healthcare.

Academically, Jennifer was inducted in the Sigma Theta Tau Honors Society in 1997. Her professional activities include memberships in several organizations such as The Ocean and Monmouth County Nurse Practitioner Forum, The Southern New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse Association, and The Dermatology Nurses Association. Additionally, she maintains her advanced credentials by attending continuing medical and educational conferences.

Jennifer presently practices in Barnegat at Connolly Dermatology. Her role and responsibilities consist of diagnosing and treating melanoma and non-melanoma skin care, acute and chronic diseases of the skin, as well as performing dermatological surgeries.

Jennifer is active in her community and local government as well. She holds the volunteer position as the Vice Chairperson of Tuckerton Waterways Commission. She enjoys many recreational activities such as boating, fishing, scuba diving, and traveling, while applying proper sunscreen of course!
