Dr. Jess Alcid received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. He went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at Albany Medical Center. He then performed the sports medicine fellowship at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles, California. During his time at Albany Medical College, he was a teaching assistant. Dr. Alcid is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is also an active member of the American Medical Academy, Medical Society of the State of New York, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. He is affiliated with Community Medical Center, Physicians’ Surgicenter, and also does consulting for Health South Rehabilitation Hospital.

Dr. Karl Blum received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School. His fellowship in sports medicine was completed through Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center. Dr. Blum is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is involved in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Medical Society of New Jersey, and Ocean County Medical Society. Dr. Blum is affiliated with Community Medical Center, Physicians’ Surgicenter, and also does consulting for Health South Rehabilitation Hospital.

Dr. Robert Closkey received his Bachelor degree from the University of Vermont, Masters degree from the University of Michigan and his Doctorate from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Closkey specializes in Joint Replacement and Revision Surgery. He is currently a Staff Orthopedic at Community Medical Center in Toms River and an Adjunct Assistant Scientists at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City where he completed his fellowship training at Cornell. Dr. Closkey continues to conduct research, publish, and is a reviewer for the Journal of Orthopedic Research and Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research. His interests are in problems related to the hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow joints.

Dr. Sripad Dhawlikar received his medical degree from the NTR University of health Sciences in India and completed the primary FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, UK. He graduated from the SUNY Buffalo Orthopedic Residency Program and went on to complete two fellowships at the Hospital for Special Surgery- Cornell University Medical Center, New York, in Spine Surgery and Pediatric Orthopedics. He is a Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and had published several book chapters and articles. He had presented at multiple  conferences and lectured worldwide. Dr. Dhawlikar specializes in neck, back, and all varieties of spinal problems and scoliosis and performs cutting edge spinal surgery including minimally invasive surgery and pain management.

Dr. Mark Kasper received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. His orthopedic training was completed at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Kasper is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and received the Physicians Recognition Award for his CME Credits. Mark Kasper is an active member of the Ocean County Medical Society. He is currently the Vice President of the medical staff at Community Medical Center. He is affiliated with Community Medical Center, Kimball Medical Center, Physicians’ Surgicenter, and also does consulting for Health South Rehabilitation Hospital.

Dr. Justin Kubeck is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon who trained at the prestigious spine surgery fellowship at the University of California in San Diego, California. He was trained in the latest techniques in minimally invasive spine surgery. After graduating from Jefferson Medical College, he completed an orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY/Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Kubeck has published numerous book chapters and scientific papers on spinal conditions and has presented at international spine society meetings.

Dr. Petrillo received his medical degree from the University of Bologna in Italy. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a member of the New Jersey Medical Society, Ocean County Medical Society, and was Chief of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Community Medical Center in 1995 and 1996. His practice is now limited to office based orthopedic treatments.

Dr. Elmo Samuel received his medical degree from University of Ceylon in Sri-lanka. His fellowship was completed through American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and American College of Surgeons. Dr. Samuel is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and received the Physicians Recognition Award for his CME Credits. He is currently the Director of the Joint Institute, which is a new program as of 2008 for Community Medical Center. He is affiliated with Community Medical Center, and also does consulting for Health South Rehabilitation Hospital.
